DCE conducts Training on Basic CADD

Department of Civil Engineering conducts an extension activity entitled:  "Training on Basic Computer Aided Drafting and Design" last July 14 to 18 at CCL 5 IT Center, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University. The training focuses  on acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).

The training lasted for two days  and was facilitated by the Department of Civil Engineering and was participated by different individual who wants to learn basic CADD.

PICE CvSU-SC receives award

The College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) headed by Dr. Rhodora V. Nuestro recognized Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Cavite State University- Student Chapter (PICE CvSU-SC) who has been the Most Outstanding Student Organization during the 30th foundation day celebration of the college on February 16,2016 at the CvSU Gymnasium.

Mr. Ralph Crucillo (outgoing president of the organization) and Mr. Kenneth Novelo (incoming president of the organization) receives the award for the recognition of the organization given by Dr. Rhodora V. Nuestro and Dr. Ruel M. Mojica.

CvSU, Champion in 22nd National Bridge Building Competition

Cavite State University bagged 1st place in the 22^nd National Bridge Building Competition held at  the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental during the 41^st Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) National Convention. The contest was participated by different universities in the Philippines offering the BS Civil Engineering program.

The team for CvSU was composed of fifth year civil engineering students namely: James Rey U. Serrano; Jerome N. Lladones; Paul John Michael D. Alfonso; Pauline Dennise M. Rivera; and Randall James M. Soriano.

New licensed Civil Engineers

Out of  9,482 aspiring civil engineering graduates across the nation 3,935 (41.50%) of them passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the board of Civil Engineering in nine testing sites, namely: Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Baguio, Davao, IloIlo, Legazpi, Lucena and Tacloban. The members of the Board for Civil Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo, Chairman; Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estanero, members.The results were released in two working days.

Among theses 3,935 passers, nineteen of them are from Cavite State University. CvSU garnered 52.78% (19 out of 36 takers). Congratulations to the latest batch of Civil Engineers!

CEIT Most Outstanding Student Organization 2015

Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Cavite State University- Student Chapter (PICE CvSU-SC) was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student Organization by the College of Engineering and Information Technology during the CEIT 30^th Foundation Day, headed by Dr. Rhodora V. Nuestro, dean of the college, on March 4,2015 at the Department of Information Technology (DIT) building.

Out of  8,127 aspiring civil engineering graduates across the nation 4,021 (49.48%) of them passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the board of Civil Engineering in nine testing sites, namely: Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Baguio, Davao, IloIlo, Legazpi, Lucena and Tacloban. The members of the Board for Civil Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Apollo S. Enriquez, Chairman and Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo, Member.The results were released in three working days.

Among theses 4,021 passers, sixteen of them are from Cavite State University. CvSU garnered 72.73% (16 out of 22 takers). Congratulations to the latest batch of Civil Engineers!
